Superstar Salmon Cakes {kid friendly, gluten free, paleo, Whole30}

These salmon cakes are my go-to quick, family friendly meal for busy nights.  All my kids gobble them up, they take only a couple minutes to prepare, and they load our bodies with healthy omega-3 fats, vitamin d, and protein - all key nutrients for a calm mind and emotional balance!  What's not to love?!

Superstar Salmon Cakes {kid friendly, gluten free, paleo, Whole30}

Great for a main meal, topped with avocado and served alongside sweet potatoes, broccoli, salad, and sauerkraut.

INGREDIENTS

3 cans wild caught Alaskan salmon

2 eggs, organic and pasture-fed

2-3 T organic mayonnaise

Several shakes of dill

Several shakes of herbamere seasoning and/or sea salt

DIRECTIONS

1. Mix well until ingredients are combined.

2. Heat butter, ghee, or other cooking oil on a skillet over medium heat.

3. Put a ball of salmon mixture onto pan, flatten with back of fork.

4. Cook on each side 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Enjoy!

Essential Oils for Instant Energy

Essential oils are an all natural, supportive way to boost energy levels and get you feeling better quick.  Rather than relying on unhealthy stimulants (caffeine, sugar) to keep you alter during the day, try a healthy essential oil routine!

I have healed myself of chronic fatigue, anxiety, and auto-immune disease.  Through the long journey to health, I discovered several different tools that boosted energy levels and pulled me out of that fog of fatigue.

 

The Best Oils for Instant, All-Day Energy

Joy – I tell most of my client to rub a drop of this over their heart every morning.  The Joy blend is a combination of several high vibration oils that uplift the emotions and spirit.  When you are feeling joyful, it’s hard to feel depleted and fatigued at the same time!

 

Lemon – I dare you to not feel awake and energized when you are using lemon oil!  In addition to adding it to my laundry and cleaning solutions, I love this one mixed in the diffuser.  Here are my favorite diffuser combos:

 

Happy and Energized:

1-2 drops lemon

3 -4 drops Joy

 

Awake and Clear:

3 drops lemon

3 drops peppermint

 

Peppermint – The cool, refreshing tingle of peppermint oil is sure to wake you up during that 3pm slump.  Here are my favorite ways to use peppermint.  Inhale a drop right from the bottle.  Drop a small bit onto your tongue (be careful – it’s powerful!) to clean your palate and banish brain fog.   Or, fill the whole house with uplifting refreshment through the diffuser!

 

Tranquil – This blend is good for when you are feeling appropriately tired (at bed time), but you can’t seem to settle down or turn your brain off.  I will put a little bit of this on the back of my neck before bed every night, and it guarantees me a deep, rejuvenating night’s sleep - exactly what you need for an energized tomorrow!
